Are you ready to retire now? If you ready to leave the rat race behind and spend the do doing what you want to do? It may be a silly question but many of the Baby Boomers will answer with “no.” A study done by the Employee Benefits Research Institute found that more than half of workers between the age of 45 and 54 have under $50,000 saved for their retirement. It is a sad fact that most of these Boomers are not able to retire with acceptable savings.
It is not a lost cause though, you can begin today by putting more money toward your retirement. It will be harder for sure, but not impossible. You might work a few more years than you expected or maybe you find a money making avenue that is not your current career.
There are those who enjoy their job and the co-workers who are friends so working a few more years is not a problem for them. Maybe you could start a small business of your own, something you thought about but never had the time to pursue. Don’t just sit there, you have little time to waste.
